Asher Ginsburg is one of the many admirable individuals in Jewish history.  Although I probably would have sided with Theodor Herzl when they opposed one another, there is no doubt that much of Ginsburg’s thinking is relevant today.  I picked the handle “Ahar Ha’am” because I like the way it sounds.  If he was “One of the people”, I thought that I could be “Another of the people”.

Alas, my son tells me that my grammar is not quite right, and suggests I own up to this before the trolls catch it.  As if anyone is going to read this stuff.  So, “Ahar Ha’am” actually translates to “People another”.

He could be a bit gloomy at times, and I will try to be less so.  I doubt I will match his erudition.
